Meg Petersen Marshall joined the Morehead-Cain Foundation in January 2025 as director of community advancement, working with Morehead-Cain alumni, with a focus on the western region of the United States.

Meg brings nearly two decades of experience in alumni relations and fundraising. She spent the first several years of her career as director of young alumni programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before moving to Portland, Oregon, and joining the advancement staff at Reed College. Meg also served as assistant vice president for advancement at Lewis & Clark College and as senior philanthropy and campaigns officer for Legacy Health in Portland. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Oregon chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Meg holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the Hussman School at UNC–Chapel Hill and served as president of the class of 2007. She continues to live in Portland, where she has been the Carolina Alumni Club leader for the region since moving there in 2012. She is married to a fellow Tar Heel, Robby, and has two young daughters and a beloved orange tabby cat.
