Bill Daughtridge ’75 to serve as chief-of-staff to N.C. House Speaker
As North Carolina’s new legislative leadership takes shape following landmark elections, Bill Daughtridge ’75 has been named interim chief-of-staff to House Speaker-elect Thom Tillis.
Bill is a former three-term state lawmaker from Rocky Mount. The Raleigh News & Observer reports that the speaker-elect has already expressed strong confidence in his chief-of-staff.
“Bill has already hit the ground running by participating in meetings with Speaker (Joe) Hackney and House majority leaders,” Rep. Tillis wrote to Republican lawmakers.
