Seth Crabtree
Class of 2013

Letter to the Foundation, June 2010

1) 9 a.m. classes and I don’t get along well.
1b) I love the Drop/Add process.

2) Physics 100 and Econ 101 kicked my tail, but they were worthwhile in the very, very end.

3) The teacher makes the class. Period.

4) Contrary to much of my high school education, “A”s take work (much), but they actually mean something at Chapel Hill. I like that.

5) My Gap Year definitely complicated matters.

More.

"A's take work (much)"

On one hand, it was a bit difficult to resume formal education after a year free from the tyranny of exams and academic papers.

On the other, I found myself with a deeper hunger for knowledge, a broader perspective of the world, and an acute awareness of the value of my education. The latter far outweighed the former.
