Thoroughly enjoyed Sam Alito’s Wriston Lecture, a deconstructionist takedown of the pretensions of legal theory.
Ironically, Alito’s address was perhaps the most intellectual Wriston Lecture in my memory—complete with references not only to Blackstone, Bentham, Holmes, Thayer, Hand, Dworkin, and Scalia but also Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, and Dostoevsky.
