To me, it is a very conscious lifestyle choice. I could be making a lot more money. I could be living in a much bigger, nicer house.
But the world is not going to change, and we’re not going to get back to sustainable anything — sustainable jobs, sustainable food — until some people start making decisions to say, “I’m leaving the rat race and I’m going to go back and raise food.”
