Tahrir Square, as you can see, isn’t really all that much to look at, but it was amazing to think that just a couple of months ago, this was the center of a movement that brought down one of the longest-standing dictatorships in the world.

The subway below was actually one of the most interesting things about the square–many of the walls were lined with photos valorizing the protestors and trying to develop national symbolism.
