The Shamrock 5K is our biggest fundraising event of the year. It supports the Durham Center for Child and Family Health and Prevent Child Abuse America.
This year, the whole event was green certified—all of the food at the dinner was local, all of the silverware and napkins were composted or recycled, and the race itself was green certified.
We thought it was important that if we’re throwing an event this big, it should have less of an environmental impact.
