Chelsea Phipps
Class of 2013

On attending the Rally to Restore Sanity, held
October 30, just before the 2010 elections.

Before long, we were part of a massive group crossing streets and spilling from sidewalks until we reached the open air of the National Mall, where crowds upon crowds of people were streaming in from all over.

That was when I felt the most like I was a part of the movement, one committed to reasonableness and sanity instead of extremes and radicalism, and able to attract people from all over the political and social spectrum.
