Class of 2012
North Carolina’s forgotten corners. The Daily Tar Heel, January 10, 2012.
Rural students can sometimes seem like a breed of their own on this campus. Our web of inside jokes and shared experiences is based on the understanding that Chapel Hill has given us an incredible opportunity — far more than our hometowns could have. And many of us share a sense of responsibility to dedicate our lives to making things better where we came from.
UNC’s students will one day lead this state, and for North Carolina to succeed in the twenty-first century, the state must succeed everywhere.
