Last Friday my company had a Midsummer party (Midsummer is a big deal in Scandinavia, and my company is Swedish.) At lunchtime we were bussed to Hyde Park where a big picnic was laid out for us.
There came a point when I was dancing around a Swedish Midsummer pole in the middle of Hyde Park. Globalism is awesome.
This is also probably on my short list of the strangest experiences I’ve ever had.
